Every year an estimated 300,000 tonnes of used clothing goes to landfill in the UK.
Currently, over 5% of the UK’s total annual carbon and water footprints result from clothing consumption. But if clothes stayed in active use for nine months longer (extending their average life to around three years), this would reduce their carbon, water and waste footprints by 20-30%. Extending the average life of clothes by just three months of active use would lead to a 5-10% reduction.
Help support our School Uniform Exchange program by donating/exchanging uniforms on the 23rd May as part of The World We Want project.
We aim to extend the life of our uniforms by offering a service where school uniforms can be donated and /or exchanged. Reusing our school uniforms is a great way to reduce our carbon footprint and a unique way for our children to be proactive in our efforts to improve environmental sustainability.
Uniforms can also be donated at reception.
